BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Beach City Commission’s new Ordinance No. 1620 went into effect on Sunday to the delight of dog owners on the Space Coast.

In May, the Cocoa Beach City Commission Ordinance passed No. 1620 allowing dogs on the beach from 4th Street South to the north end of Robert P. Murkshe Park.

Dogs will now be allowed on the beach from 6 a.m.-10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. during standard time and end at 9 p.m. during daylight savings time.
